9 Steps to a Successful Online Community
It’s been said before: social media is a powerful way to grow and engage your audience, but it’s even more effective when paired with good planning and best practices.
We’re committed to delivering a platform that makes it as easy as possible for you to build and manage your online community, but the bottom line is that technology (whether it’s ours, yours, or someone else’s) is just one part of the equation.
That’s why we put together this whitepaper, 9 Steps to a Successful Online Community.
You can download it here.
This is an evolving work, so please let us know if you have comments or suggestions about how we can make it better. If you find it helpful, please drop us a line and say so. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hey guys, this is pretty good. It would be nice if each point here was just a top level summary above a more in-depth exploration of the ideas, though. It seems to me that there’s a lot of room for services here - I don’t know how much support you guys offer in helping customers strategize and implement these suggestions. I’m sure KickApps customers could benefit though from the services of consultants like Chris Brogan, Nancy White, or yours truly.
Anyway, good list and all well put. Would be nice if it was available as a blog post in addition to a pdf too.

Thanks for your comment. Good idea on the blog post. We’ll revisit this very soon on KickBlog.
We currently offer a lot of support to our clients around online community strategy and services. We also work with an eco-system of consultants who add value from design to marketing. As we note in the whitepaper, there’s a lot to do when people create an online community and one thing they should do is tap the wealth of knowledge out there and seek out resources like yourself.
