One of the most entertaining? While funny, he’s far from the most entertaining. Someone should tell him to interact with his fans better. 10k+ (at the time of this post) following him and he only follows less than 5% of those followers. Seems he would grow his following further if he actually interacted with more than a handful of people.

  2. Xian Says:

D, what are you whining about? The man’s got his own life and wants to follow the people who are in his life. What would be the point of following all 10k+ people? So that he could keep up on when you’re feeding your cat today? If you don’t think he’s entertaining enough, stop following him and let the rest of us read his hilarities. Stop being butt hurt because he didn’t respond to your advice on what to wear to last nights game.

  3. D Says:

Hey Xian, I don’t have a cat and I don’t advice people on how to dress. How about you understand the nature of the beast and realize Shaq is where he is, because of his fans. “Lord B” who he interacts with isn’t a part of his daily life. Give me a break…

He’s actually following me on twitter, so there ya go. ;-) Nice try to paint me as a whiner though. How’s your life working out for ya? Are you always so quick to say something snide?

  4. Xian Says:

Actually, he’s where he’s at because of his work ethic. Not his fans. I’m pretty sure he didn’t get elected into the NBA with the popular vote among fans.

My life’s pretty amazing. Thanks for asking. :)

  5. D Says:

Yeah, because the NBA would exist without people showing up for games or tuning in via networks that have contracts with the league. Has he worked hard? Without a doubt he has. Sixteen years in the league is awesome. Would he be where he is today without the NBA? Who knows.

Your lack of simple business concepts prove to me that you aren’t worth my time. Good day!

Children, please. Both of you, go to your rooms.

Actually, though it was said in as crude a manner as you can get, I understand where “D” is coming from. 10K people is a lot to shift through to figure out who is worthwhile to follow. Especially for someone with his schedule. You can imagine a lot of people want his attention. You, Xian, are one of the lucky ones. Congrats.

From some of the responses I’ve seen regarding his posts, a lot of people are amazed that he responds to his followers at the rate he does. I’ve seen quite a few “notable” personalities whose efforts to respond to others are few and far between.

As for interacting with his followers, I’m sure if someone @’s him, he’ll either respond if he needs to, wants to or has time to. Besides, if someone’s going to choose to follow so many people that they can’t even keep up with their updates or respond when “we think they should”, IMHO, that would cause more dissatisfaction than their avatar not appearing in my “followers”.

It wasn’t said in a crude manner. The truth is the truth, no need to sugar coat it. And by the way, I’m the one Shaq is following, not Xian.
