Actually, though it was said in as crude a manner as you can get, I understand where "D" is coming from. 10K people is a lot to shift through to figure out who is worthwhile to follow. Especially for someone with his schedule. You can imagine a lot of people want his attention. You, Xian, are one of the lucky ones. Congrats. From some of the responses I've seen regarding his posts, a lot of people are amazed that he responds to his followers at the rate he does. I’ve seen quite a few "notable" personalities whose efforts to respond to others are few and far between. As for interacting with his followers, I’m sure if someone @’s him, he’ll either respond if he needs to, wants to or has time to. Besides, if someone’s going to choose to follow so many people that they can’t even keep up with their updates or respond when “we think they should”, IMHO, that would cause more dissatisfaction than their avatar not appearing in my “followers”.
