Add or Remove Apps

When you created your KickApps account, we set up your site with default applications and a default theme.

You can easily enable or disable any of our apps (with the exception of the Social Networking app, which is required for any of our other apps to function) in the Affiliate Center, whenever you want.

Once you are logged into the Affiliate Center, navigate to the Configure > Settings > Add/Remove Apps page where you can check off the apps that you want or don't want to include in your site.

In most cases, adding or removing an app will modify your site's global navigation bar. For instance, if you disable the Video Sharing, Photo Sharing and Audio Sharing applications, the "Video," "Photos," and "Audio" tabs will disappear from your global navigation bar.

Note: Disabling apps will remove any references to those applications on your site’s pages, including the global navigation bar and the email messages that automatically get sent to site members when they join and begin interacting with your site. Disabling apps will NOT however, cause you to lose any of the user interaction data or media that is associated to that app. Disabling Video Sharing, for example, will make the “Video” tab disappear from your site’s navigation strip, and will make all video pages inaccessible, but if you re-enable Video, all of the prior videos, pages, and comments will be available once again.
