Control Bar
From KickApps Documentation
The KickApps Control Bar offers KickApps Site Administrators (Webmasters and Admins) more easily to perform administrative functions while visiting member-facing pages of their KickApps-hosted sites.
A variety of commonly-used functions are offered persistently on the KA Control Bar, depending on what kind of page the webmaster or admin happens to visit.
These functions include:
- “Getting Started” This new link provides persistent access to a new “Getting Started” page that provides ready access to the top most useful and frequent activities for site owners to get moving, fast.
- “Manage Your Site” This link provides persistent access to the Affiliate Center / Control Panel for site publishers to perform all administrative functions. This link is relocated from the courtesy navigation (on the pages themselves) to the control bar.
- “Site Styler”. This link provides persistent access to the Site Styler for site publishers to modify the appearance of their external-facing pages. This link is relocated from the courtesy navigation (on the pages # themselves) to the control bar.
- “Add +”. This new persistent utility provides quick access for the site publishers to add or remove applications, or to add new custom pages.
- “Edit this page”. This conditional link appears on pages that are editable by the current site publisher, anhttp://www.kickdeveloper.com/api/skins/common/images/button_bold.pngd allow the publisher to edit the page. This link is relocated from the “green boxes” that used to appear on external-facing pages which allowed administrators to edit pages and modify admin tags.
- “Admin Tags”. This new persistent utility provides quick access for site publishers to view and add admin tags for any given media item. This utlity is relocated from the “green boxes” that used to appear on external-facing pages which allowed administrators to edit pages and modify admin tags.
- “Live Help”. This link appears whenever KickApps Support or Customer Advocacy Associates are online and ready to engage in a live chat session to help site publishers with any issues or provide timely advice.
- “Sign Out”. This link allows the site publisher to sign out of the site and Affiliate Center / Control Panel. When the site publisher clicks this link, the page will reload as if the current user is a unauthenticated site visitor. In order to log back into the site, the publisher will need to click “sign in” from the courtesy navigation. If the “Social Networking” application is disables (and the “sign in” link therefore does not show), the site publisher will need to go to www.kickapps.com to use the “customer login” link to authenticate to their site and to the Affiliate Center / Control Panel.
