Display Foreign-Language Characters in Your Widgets

By default, all text in widgets is rendered by fonts embedded in the widget. This ensures that the text will be displayed the same to everyone who views your widget, regardless of their browser or operating system. However, the fonts available in the Widget Studio do not include many characters that do not occur in English, so you can't display these characters using the embedded fonts.

Fortunately, there is another option. You can opt to have your widgets display text using any font installed on your computer. To use this option, simply un-check the 'Use embedded fonts' checkbox in the Fonts panel. With embedded fonts disabled, when other people view your widget, the widget will render text using the fonts on their computers. If that person doesn't have the font that you've selected, the widget will use the closest match from their system.
