Feed builder

The Feed Builder is a point and click interface for creating RSS feeds of media in your KIT Cloud Social library, and for saving 3rd party RSS feeds. You can use feeds saved in the Feed Builder to power widgets in the App Studio.

You can also create RSS feeds of your KIT Cloud Social media by composing an RSS feed URL.

Navigate to the Feed Builder in the Affiliate Center by clicking App Studio > Feed Builder.

Create a feed of media items in your KIT Cloud Social Library

To create a feed,

1. Click the Create Feed button.
2. Enter a title for your feed.
3. Select which media types the feed should include.
4. Change the quantity, sort order, and apply filters.
5. Click Save.

Sorting a feed based on approval date

Feeds can be sorted based on the approval date of media by adding the following to the end of the feed URL;

&sortType=approved

Save a 3rd-party feed

By saving a 3rd party feed (like a feed from YouTube or from another CMS), you'll have easy access to it in both the Feed Builder and the App Studio. To save a 3rd-party feed,

1. Click the Create Feed button.
2. In the "Define feed source" area at the top of the interface, select "External Feed".
3. Enter the URL of your feed.
4. Click Save.

Finding Feeds

You can search for feeds by typing the feed title into the search box, or search by feed ID by typing id:feedIDgoesHere.
