We’re currently in the process of updating our widget and feed reporting functionality. The update consists of changing our widget and feed serving architecture so that we can capture both hits served up directly from our servers and those issued from our various caching layers. Historically, widget and feed reports have represented only “direct” hits to our servers and didn’t include hits served from cache. Once this change is in place, reports will represent hits served from the cache as well, so many of you will see (in some cases significant) increases in your widget and feed reports. Please be aware that this increase is most likely related to the updated reporting functionality, rather than to an actual spike in traffic. Most customers should start to see the update take effect for their widget reports starting today. Widget reporting information is available in the Affiliate Center under Reporting > Traffic > Widgets & Feeds. Your feed reports will start reflecting the change by Monday.
